Our client was hired by a foreign high end bed manufacturer to assist them in entering the US market. In order to verify their assumptions and confirm the efficacy of the modeling established, our client needed assurance as to the accuracy of the bed manufacturer's financials and finance operations.
Our Role
GFO was engaged to provide a review of the financial documentation e.g. income statement and balance sheet, accounting software used, budgeting, and strategic forecasting established by the advisory firm.
Result
The review process showed numerous inconsistencies. A written plan for correction and suggestions was provided to bring current practices and procedures into compliance with GAAP and to lay a framework for future growth of the company. The implementation was to be provided by our client for the company.

GFO was engaged to build a model that would provide the financial data necessary to determine the point of breakeven for the two aforementioned scenarios with a revenue sharing model for the manufacturer and their Fulfillment House/Delivery Agent. This new business would be for both e-commerce and catalog sales.
Result
Based upon the variables and the model built the manufacturer was able to make an informed decision enabling them to add two new profit centers.
