Biography: Heiko brings to his clients over 20 years of US/International experience in management with a thorough understanding of profit and business value optimization. He has supported and worked closely with Owners, CEO’s, CFO’s and Presidents of Manufacturing, Aerospace, Metals, Electronics and Service related companies. With his business and technical experience he has proven exceptional abilities identifying the needs of his clients and delivering customized business solutions. With a multi-faceted background in various functional and cultural domains he provides his clients with a unique competitive edge. Heiko’s combined expertise in data mining, analysis and synthesis enable him to not only find root causes, but also take active participation in implementing new processes with focus on eliminating non-value added work. While Heiko is able to deal with complex matters, he also advocates that any solution that is more complicated than it needs to be, is a waste of time for everybody. Timely decisions are more valuable than those where precision exceeds accuracy.

Prior to joining GFOCFO Group, he served as the Founder and President of Wiedmann Consulting LLC, which provided customized advisory services for companies to gain improved control of business activities. Before starting his own company he worked at Thales Avionics as a Manger of Business Planning and Bid Control, as a Financial and Technical Director for Allied Metals and Financial Manager Mergers and Acquisitions for Georgsmarienhütte GmbH in Germany.

Successes

• He was the CFO and co-founder of a startup aerospace company, which provided aircraft cabin electronics. In this capacity Heiko was responsible for all finance related functions including business planning, raising capital, banking relations, accounting and purchasing..

• Provided finance expertise to Boeing for their B1B military program. This included budgeting and scheduling, earned value and cost account management, data mining and fusion, reporting, customized financial/schedule models and risk management .

• Heiko was responsible for the proposal and offer development of Thales Avionics’ multibillion dollar volume in-flight entertainment system. This task involved developing complex long term turnkey contracts utilizing life cycle costing and analysis including after sales cost for warranty, spares and operational costs. Heiko was also responsible for the company’s short and long term strategic business planning. In addition he headed various data mining and database design and optimization projects and worked closely with supply chain management on optimizing global outsourcing strategies and negotiations.

• Served as a business intermediary by providing succession planning advice at Landis and Associates.

• Supplied finance reporting and budget analysis for Metro Ethernet Forum, a non-profit organization.

• Developed the financial plan for Classic Pacific, a residential real estate development company, to fund a $150 million residential real estate development in Mexico.

• Provided interim Financial Support for Tycom, an $80 million high tech company.

Education

Born and raised in Germany, Heiko was educated both in Europe and the US. He is a graduate from Purdue University with a MBA in Finance/Operations and holds a Masters Degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
